Almay, the American cosmetic company, was founded in 1931 by Alfred and Fanny May Woititz. Alfred, a professional chemist, experiemented with makeup to create cosmetic products for his wife Fanny May's sensitive skin. Dr. Marion Sulzberger, a dermatologist, and Alfred developed the cosmetic line to first use hypoallergenic ingredients. Almay was purchase by Revlon in 1987. Website
